IT Security Architect Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking an IT Security Architect. Candidate will be responsible for IT security enterprise wide. This includes developing and implementing enterprise information security architectures and solutions. The person serves as a security expert in application development, database design, network and/or platform efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices. Responsibilities:- Strategic Support - Work with the IT leadership to develop a security program and projects that address identified risks and business security requirements. - Manage the process of gathering, analysing and assessing the current and future threat landscape, as well as providing the IT Leadership with a realistic overview of risks and threats in the enterprise environment. - Work with the IT leadership to develop budget projections based on short- and long-term goals and objectives. - Monitor and report on compliance with security policies, as well as the enforcement of policies within the IT department. - Security Liaison - Assist resource owners and IT staff in understanding and responding to security audit failures reported by auditors. - Provide security communication, awareness and training for audiences, which may range from senior leaders to field staff. - Work as a liaison with vendors and the legal and purchasing departments to establish mutually acceptable contracts and service-level agreements. - Work with various stakeholders to identify information asset owners to classify data and systems as part of a control framework implementation. - Serve as an active and consistent participant in the information security governance process. - Work with the IT department and business stakeholders to define metrics and reporting strategies that effectively communicate successes and progress of the security program. - Provide support and guidance for legal and regulatory compliance efforts. - Architecture/Engineering Support - Consult with IT staff to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications and software. - Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies. - Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend or plan the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software, and analyze its impact on the existing environment; provide technical and managerial expertise for the administration of security tools. - Work with the enterprise architecture team to ensure that there is a convergence of business, technical and security requirements; liaise with IT management to align existing technical installed base and skills with future architectural requirements. - Operational Support - Coordinate measure and report on the technical aspects of security management. - Manage outsourced vendors that provide information security functions for compliance with contracted service-level agreements. - Manage and coordinate operational components of incident management, including detection, response and reporting. - Maintain a knowledgebase comprising a technical reference library, security advisories and alerts, information on security trends and practices, and laws and regulations. - Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans and communicate information about residual risk. - Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and are in compliance with policies and audit requirements. - Accountable for coordination of resolution on problems reported with Active Directory, Anti-Virus, Web Filtering, Firewall, Single Sign-on, and related security systems including problem tracking and coordinating with vendors and internal resources for remediation. - Support audits: work with system owners to ensure audit trails are reviewed periodically (eg weekly, daily) and audit records are archived for future reference. - Responsible to develop an IT team focused on security administration and routine internal audit of all IT systems across the enterprise. - Prepare, communicate, and maintain guidebooks and manuals on systems security including emergency response procedures in the event of a breach - Assess need for any security reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required. Ensure IT systems are secured such that only authorized personnel can access and use them. - Collaborates with business functions, various technology, and business teams to provide cost/benefit for proposed solutions and overall enterprise security posture. - Responsible for 24/7 on-call support. - Occasional travel required - Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in engineering,
science or related field. - 10 - 12 years' experience with Firewalls, intrusion detection systems, forensic software, anti-virus software, Active Directory, data encryption, and other industry-standard techniques and practices. - 10 - 12 years experience in engineering, computers, networking, storage, or related field - In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems. - Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols. - Knowledge of applicable practices and laws relating to data privacy and protection. - High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with managers, staff, customers, and vendors at all levels within the companies. - Applied skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, and interpersonal interactions. - Experience estimating project effort/costs and deliver tasks on time within a project management framework. - Experience designing/implementing/administrating Enterprise Security solutions and security posture. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office - This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
