General Summary
The Human Resources Recruiter reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for meeting the staffing needs of the store team members (management and CSRs) through sourcing, screening, and interviewing applicants for open positions. Responsibilities also include researching and maintaining viable recruiting resources, developing relationships in the
community
, and understanding the staffing needs of each manager to ensure the best applicants are hired.
Essential Job Functions
Work with hiring managers to effectively and efficiently fill open positions.
Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community
services
, colleges, employment agencies, internet sites, media, etc. Research and utilize various ways to find qualified applicants (including planning and facilitating approved recruiting
events
)
Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references and comparing qualifications to job requirements based upon a consistent set of qualifications
Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules
Review hiring recommendations from managers and make final hiring decisions
Perform additional duties as assigned
Source, screen, interview and hire all hourly candidates within assigned locations
Facilitate and insure completion of ATS on board procedure with store level, hourly and management candidates
Provide ongoing contact, follow up and communication with store and regional mgmt regarding training and retention of newly hired team members through first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of recruiting techniques, sources, and the ability to research new recruiting sources
Excellent interviewing and people skills
Thorough understanding of employment law
Ability to maintain confidentiality and perform duties in a discrete manner
A high degree of professionalism and understanding of customer service
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Self motivated and results driven
Must possess keen judgment and insight
Must be organized with the ability to handle both major goals and the details required to achieve them
Equipment/Special Expertise
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
CPC or PHR Certification preferred but not required
Other Considerations
Local and overnight travel required (up to 50%)
Must have a valid driver's license
